July 2023 - Canoe Trip to the Boundary Waters with 14-year-old grandson Noah.
We entered at East Bearskin and basecamped on Alder Lake. We paddled in the rain the first day and had occasional rain after that, but it didn’t dampen our spirits.
We didn’t catch a lot of fish, but I did catch and release a 30-inch lake trout… my biggest ever!
We also had a fun day trip to Johnson Falls.
The trip was from July 16 - July 21
